050: How to shift from I need to lose weight after lockdown

In theory there is nothing wrong with losing a little bit of weight. But if you are using this as an excuse to start later, you can ask yourself why. Why not choose today? Choose to take good care of yourself today. Choose health instead of the urge to lose weight.

Maybe a bit of a controversial subject, but a necessary one. I feel like I hear a lot of women giving up on their health during lockdown. Eating and drinking everything, promising themselves to start again after lockdown. To go on a next diet and lose the lockdown weight. Besides the fact that diets don’t work, I am encouraging you to ask yourself why you have a need to lose the weight. I feel like the only real reason to lose weight is for health reasons. But then, if you want to be healthy, why not choose today? Don’t you and your body deserve the healthiest you today? Especially in lockdown? Of course, I am all for giving yourself some space, gratitude and grace in these hard times. But I also think the best way to do so is to take care of yourself the best way you know how.
